Spearman (Russia)
In addition to Streletses, there were soldiers armed with pikes in Russian army. Sometimes Streletses were armed with this weapon to meet cavalry
charges in a close fight. Spearmen could wear an armor - a chain mail or a cuirass. They also wielded a saber. A spearman's
equipment comprised a fur-cap, a long outer caftan, a zipun, porty, and gloves. Some of soldiers were armed with a saber and
a protasan.
